Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF) is now accepting applications for its Iskolar ni Juan (INJ) Scholarship 2023-2024 Program, a Technical-Vocational Certification Scholarship Program.

GBF grants fully-subsidized one-year scholarship to senior high school graduates who are interested in industrial machine operation. One-year tech-voc training and URC employment offered to underprivileged SHS graduates.

Iskolar ni Juan Tech-Voc 2023 Scholarship

The Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF), is in partnership with URC Branded Consumer Foods Group and URC Sugar and Renewables. GBF grants fully-subsidized one-year scholarship to high school graduates who are interested in industrial machine operation.

Boarded at the GBF Technical Training Center (TTC), scholars undergo GBF’s signature TESDA-registered courses and earn a Certificate of Completion in either in Mechatronics Servicing or Instrumentation and Controls Servicing.

After which, they go through an on-the-job immersion that eventually makes them fit for employment at URC-BCFG as production operator or maintenance technician.

Iskolar ni Juan Scholarship Benefits

Following are the scholarship benefits of Iskolar ni Juan Tech-Voc Scholarship 2023:

• Full subsidy on allowance and school fees which is:
  • Inclusive of food,
  • housing,
  • school supplies, and
  • uniform
• 7 months stay-in at GBF-Technical Training Center in Calamba, Laguna
  • Free dormitory and access to school facilities and equipment
  • 3,300 square meters state-of-the-art training center
  • Hosts 12 industry-standard laboratories, meeting rooms, and classrooms
• 5 months On-the-Job training at any URC plant
  • Acquire Instrumentation and Control Servicing NC II or Mechatronics Servicing NC II upon passing TESDA assessment
  • Inclusive of OJT allowance
• Employment opportunity in URC Plants after the program
  • Employment opportunities: production/machine operator or machine maintenance technician
  • Chance to work in a world-class manufacturing industry

Eligibility for Scholarship

Following is the eligibility criteria to be fulfilled by the candidate to apply for Iskolar ni Juan Tech-Voc Scholarship 2023:

1. The applicant must be a Filipino Citizen
2. He or She must be Single and must be between 18-25 years old
3. Should be a Senior High School graduate
4. No grade lower than 80% in Mathematics and Science
5. Must be from a family with an annual income not more than Php200,000
6. Shall be willing to study in Calamba, Laguna and relocate to work at URC factories in Tarlac, Pampanga, Pasig, Cavite, Laguna, Cebu, or Misamis Oriental
