The scholarship application for entering Grade 7 students at the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) for 2024-2025 is now open to all qualified Filipino students.

Scholarship Benefits
Following are the benefits of PSHS- Philippine Science High School Scholarship:
- Free tuition fees,
- Monthly stipend,
- Free loan of textbooks,
- Dormitory accommodation (if applicable), and
- Uniform, transportation and living allowances for low income groups.
In addition to the world-class education at PSHS campuses with no tuition fees, a PSHS scholar will also receive a monthly stipend of Php 500.00. Textbooks are freely given to students. Along with these, living expenses are also provided.

PSHS Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
A grade 6 elementary student from a Department of Education-recognized school who satisfies the following criteria is eligible to apply for the PSHS National Competitive Examination.
- The applicant must have an 85% or higher final grade in Science and Mathematics, as shown by the student’s report card The student must show proof that he or she is in the top 10% of the class if his or her grades in science or math are below 85%.
- He / She must be a citizen of the Philippines and not have an application for immigration to another country pending or accepted
- He / She must be under the age of 15 on June 30, 2024,
- Have at least an satisfactory rating (or its equivalent) in their Character Rating on their report card (SY 2022–2023).
- Have not previously applied for admission to PSHS and
- Preferably, be in good health and fit to participate in a challenging academic program.
Documentary Requirements
Following is the list of documents required to apply for Philippine High School Scholarship:
For walk-in applicants:
- Fully accomplished application form(link to application form given below).
- Recent 1×1 ID pictures.
- Certified true copy of report card (SY 2022 – 2023) by the class adviser / principal.
- Non-refundable processing fee for private school students – Php 300, based on the applicant’s Grade 5 school.
- Free and no processing fees for public school students and students with full scholarship from private schools.
- If the final grades in Science or Math are below 85%, certification or proof that the child belongs to the upper 10% of the batch.
- Certification from the private school if the pupil-applicant is on full scholarship.
For online applicants:
- Scanned/Digitized copy of most recent 1×1 ID pictures
- A Scanned/Digitized copy of Certified true copy of report card (SY 2022 – 2023) by the class adviser / principal.
- Scanned/Digitized copy of Proof of Payment (Php 300 for private school students who were admitted on a private school on fifth Grade (payment can be made on https://nce.pshs.edu.ph/);
- Free or no processing fee for public school students and students with full scholarship from private schools;
- Scanned/Digitized copy of certification of proof that the child belongs to the upper 10% of the batch if the final grades in Science or Math are below 85%.
- Certification from the private school if the pupil-applicant is on full scholarship.

The NCE
After three years since the outbreak of the pandemic, the National Competitive Examination (NCE) returns to appraise aspiring Grade 7 scholars in Philippine Science High Schools nationwide for S.Y. 2024-2025.
The Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Science High School System (DOST-PSHSS) announced the return of the NCE on November 18, 2023 to evaluate the scientific aptitude, quantitative aptitude, abstract reasoning, and verbal aptitude of prospective Pisay scholars during the first systemwide flag ceremony of the academe last April 3.
The NCE is a rigorous test designed to evaluate the aptitude and capabilities of aspiring Philippine Science High School (Pisay) scholars. It aims to assess students’ skills in various areas such as science, quantitative abilities, abstract reasoning, and verbal comprehension.
This challenging examination plays a crucial role in determining the admission of students into the prestigious Philippine Science High School System. With its rigorous evaluation process, the NCE helps identify students who possess the potential to excel in the field of science and technology.
The strategic timing of NCE allowed all eligible students across various regions to showcase their abilities and compete on an equal footing.

How to Apply for Philippine Science High School Scholarship
All the Interested student applicants to the Philippine Science High School may apply directly by visiting the nearest PSHS campus, DOST Regional Offices, and Provincial Science and Technology Offices or apply via online platform through https://nce.pshs.edu.ph/.

The Examination Permit will be granted to candidates once all required documents have been finalized by the PSHS campus where the application was processed.
For the applications filed in the DOST offices, the Exam permits will be mailed to the applicant or to the School Principals for distribution to student applicants from their schools.
For the ones who applied online, the Exam permits will be generated automatically at the completion of the application through the online platform.
If the exam permits are not obtained two (2) weeks prior to the exam date, applicants should contact the nearest PSHS campus, DOST Regional Office, DOST Provincial Science and Technology Office, or the PSHS System Admissions Office.
Application Period
