Salary Grade 2023 is based on House Bill 5712 and Senate Bill 1219, generally known as the Salary Standardization Law, which goes into effect on January 1, 2023. President Rodrigo Duterte signed it into law on January 8, 2020.

The fourth tranche of the Salary Standardization Law of 2019’s fourth tranche provides the basis for the fourth salary increase for civilian government employees. Starting January 1, 2023.

• The fourth tranche of the Salary Standardization Law (SSL) in the Philippines is SSL V Fourth Tranche.
• It aims to provide fair and competitive salaries to public servants, attract and retain skilled individuals in public service, and ultimately deliver quality services to the public.

The implementation of SSL V Fourth Tranche is expected to help a lot of different types of government employees, such as teachers, health workers, and other public servants.
