What is TESDA
TESDA means the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority. The TESDA was established through the enactment of Republic Act No. 7796 otherwise known as the “Technical Education and Skills Development Act of 1994”, which was signed into law by President Fidel V. Ramos on August 25, 1994.
This Act aims to encourage the full participation of and mobilize the industry, labor, local government units and technical-vocational institutions in the skills development of the country’s human resources.
Today, TESDA has evolved into an organization that is responsive, effective, and efficient in providing a wide range of services to its clients. To achieve its multiple objective, the TESDA Board has developed policies and programs aimed at having the most impact on workforce development in diverse areas, industry sectors, and institutions.
TESDA FREE language training programs
The objective of TESDA is to prepare the Filipino worker to meet the standards of local and worldwide labor markets.
Knowing a second language, such as English, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, or Nihongo/Japanese, can provide an important edge in the workplace or during the hiring process these days.
Employers and staffing agencies commonly consider individuals who are multilingual or fluent in languages other than their native tongue.
Speaking to them in their own language can help you win their trust, which will lead to more sales and lucrative projects.
So, to meet this objective, TESDA has started Free language training programs.
