The Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) recently announced the availability of its undergraduate scholarship program, RA 7687 and Merit, to senior high school students who wish to pursue four- or five-year courses in the S&T field beginning SY 2023-2024. Who is Eligible to Apply For the Scholarship?
- Graduating Grade 12 male and female students in SY 2022-2023:
- a. STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
- b. NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the graduating class, if belonging to the Non-STEM strand
- Graduate of Grade 12 before SY 2022-2023 and did not enroll in college yet:
- a. STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
- b. NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the graduating class, if belonging to the Non-STEM strand
- Graduate of high school before the K-12 Program. Must belong to the top 5% of the graduating class.
- Must have grades in Grades 9, 10, and 11.
- The scores in the Philippine Education Placement Test Certificate of Rating is acceptable if you skip a grade.
- Must be natural-born Filipino citizen.
- Must be of good moral character and in good health.
- Must NOT have earned any post-secondary (college or vocational) units
Benefits of DOST Scholarship:
- Allowance (P7,000 per month)

Who qualifies for DOST Scholarship 2023?
The DOST Scholarship 2023 is open to the following: All graduating Grade 12 students in the STEM class Non-STEM students in the top 5% of their graduating class. All STEM Grade 12 students who graduated before SY 2022-2023 but have not enrolled in college.
Is DOST Scholarship still available 2023?
Applications will be accepted through the Ugrad E-Scholarship Application System until December 2,2022.
Can I apply, If I am a Grade 11 student / First Year College student?
The 2023 DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship is open to ongoing Grade 12 male and female students who plan to enroll in priority S&T programs at specified universities by the first semester of the academic year 2023-2024. You cannot apply for this scholarship if you are not a Grade 12 student.
How much is 2023 DOST scholarship?
These include a ₱7,000 monthly stipend; a tuition fee subsidy of up to ₱40,000 per academic year for those enrolling in private institutions; a learning materials and/or connectivity allowance; a one-time MS/PE clothing allowance; and one economy-class roundtrip fare per academic year for those studying outside.
