Civil Service Exam Passing Rate

The Philippine Civil Service Exam is one of the lowest passing rates across professional exams. This is dependent on the complexity of the exam, the diversity of the background of the examinees, and the sheer number of examinees that take the exam every year.

Only 12,179 of the 70,833 test takers passed the CSE in March 2022. This shows that the March 2022 exam had a passing rate of 17.19%.

This is a lower passing rate than the previous LET and Bar exams. The exam passing rate for both levels is 80%.

The Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT), which includes the Professional and Subprofessional Levels, will draw the most examinees and will be held on March 26 and August 13, 2023.

The application period for the 26 March CSE-PPT will be from 22 December 2022 to 25 January 2023.
