Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation (CLFI) Scholarship 2026: Requirements, Stipend, and Results Date

The Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI) Nationwide Scholarship Program gives a stipend of up to ₱50,000 to college students in selected courses at public universities and colleges. The application period has closed. The listed dates were August 17 to September 11. CLFI says results will come out on or before the last week of October 2026, so if you applied, that’s very soon.
I read CLFI’s scholarship page and FAQ and put the requirements, the process, and the gaps here.
Quick summary
- Program: CLFI Nationwide Scholarship Program

- Who: Filipino college students at public universities or colleges, in selected courses
- Grades: GWA of 85% or equivalent, with no failing mark
- Income limit: total annual family income of ₱350,000 or less
- Application period: August 17 to September 11

Is the application open now?
No. The period on the page was August 17 to September 11, and today is October 19. The page lists weekday hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but doesn’t say whether that refers to the application or to CLFI’s office hours. CLFI also says the application is open annually, so you can reapply in later years. I haven’t seen dates for the next round, so I won’t guess.

What are the scholarship benefits?
The stipend is fixed at up to ₱50,000, meant for school-related and living expenses. The page doesn’t say how it’s released, other than that grants are credited to your Cebuana Lhuillier Microsavings account.
Scholars also get:
- Annual general assembly
- Monthly learning sessions with resource persons or subject experts
- Outreach programs
- Education-to-Employment (E2E) program
- Various trainings
- Cebuana Lhuillier Museum tour
- Membership in the Cebuana Lhuillier Scholar Alumni Association
- Leadership boot camp
- Recognition for academic and non-academic achievements
Who can apply for the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation Scholarship
According to CLFI, you must:
- Be a Filipino citizen
- Be an incoming or currently enrolled college student at a public university or college
- Take one of the supported courses (listed below)
- Have a total annual family income of ₱350,000 or less
- Have a GWA of 85% or equivalent from your last semester or last school attended, with no failing mark in any subject
- Have a Cebuana Lhuillier Microsavings account, where the grant is credited
- Be, or have a relative who is, a Cebuana Lhuillier client
On the relative rule, the page says the applicant or a relative by blood up to the second degree, or by marriage up to the first degree, must be a client. In plain terms, that probably includes close family such as parents, siblings, and grandparents, but that’s my reading, so ask CLFI if you’re not sure whether your relative counts.
The FAQ says the client needs a 24K Loyalty Card. The page doesn’t explain how that connects to the Microsavings account, so check both with CLFI.

What are the Supported courses
- Accountancy or Finance Management
- Business courses
- Hotel and Restaurant Management, and Hospitality Management
- Engineering: Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, and Industrial
- Architecture
- Psychology
CLFI says courses outside this list are not accepted. They’re tied to the scholarship’s E2E employment program.
Who should not apply
Save your time if any of these is true:
- You’re in a private university or college. Applicants must be at public schools.
- Your course isn’t on the list
- Your family income is above ₱350,000 a year
- Your GWA is below 85%, or you have a failing mark
- A sibling from your household is already applying in the same school year. CLFI accepts only one child per household at a time.
- You’re an elementary or high school student. The scholarship is for college only.
What are the Documents you needed
The page lists these in the FAQ and eligibility section:
- Proof of total family income: Income Tax Return (ITR), company payslip, Certificate of BIR Tax Exemption, or Certification of Non-Filing of Income
- Grades: 2nd semester, SY 2025-2026. Freshmen can use Senior High School grades. If your report card isn’t released yet, you can get a certification of your Grade 12 GWA from your registrar.
- Certificate of Good Moral Character, signed by an official at your last school
- Current enrollment or registration form (1st Semester, SY 2026-2027)
- Your university’s grading system in percentages, which helps convert your grades to the 85% rule
- Cebuana Lhuillier Microsavings account details, where the grant is credited
How the process works
The application was online at the CLFI scholarship management system. After you submit:
- Paper screening. CLFI reviews all applications, involving several departments of the PJ Group of Companies.
- Interview. Successful applicants are notified to attend an interview with their parents or guardians.
- Results. The official results are announced on or before the last week of October 2026.
CLFI says the decision of the scholarship committee is final and irrevocable. You can’t appeal, but you can reapply in future years.
If you already applied
With results due by the last week of October:
- Check your email and phone daily, including your spam folder
- If you’re invited to an interview, plan for your parent or guardian to come with you
- Keep copies of what you submitted, in case you’re asked about them
- Only trust announcements from CLFI’s official channels, and never pay anyone to “guarantee” a slot
Work after graduation
CLFI says its E2E provision lets scholars seek employment right after graduating. Scholars who graduate with Latin honors or a GWA of 90% or higher are exempt from the PJLI pre-employment test. Other scholars go through the standard process. The page doesn’t say there’s a job guarantee, so don’t treat it as one.
Mistakes to avoid
- Applying to a private school or an unsupported course. CLFI says this isn’t negotiable.
- Missing the Microsavings account. The grant is credited there.
- Forgetting the grading system in percentages. Your registrar can provide it.
- A good moral certificate not signed by an official. Check the signature before you scan it.
- Two siblings applying in the same year. Only one is accepted.
- Missing the interview notice. Use an email you check every day.
How to get ready for the next round
- Check that your school is a public university or college and your course is on the list.
- Ask your registrar for your grades, the percentage grading system, and your Grade 12 GWA certification if needed.
- Find out which income document fits your family: ITR, payslip, tax exemption, or non-filing certification.
- Ask a relative who is a Cebuana Lhuillier client about the 24K Loyalty Card, and open a Microsavings account.
- Request a Certificate of Good Moral Character from your last school.
- Follow CLFI’s official channels so you see the next call early.
